Social change in India can happen when people come together. As India celebrates 70th Independence Day, we all must strive to achieve freedom against hidden hunger and illiteracy. Social change in India cannot happen unless our children are free from hidden hunger and lack of education. Feed The Future Now is a social change campaign that aims at eliminating hidden hunger in India. Since the campaign aims at feeding the children in schools, it also addresses education directly. UNESCO Institute of Statistics 2016 reports that every year 47 million Indian children drop out of schools by the time they reach Std X. In India the biggest cause of this is the fact that many children have to fend for themselves and their siblings. But when they are given a wholesome lunch in schools, they are motivated to attend school regularly and therefore get education.
